    Funk / Soul – P-BUG

The P-BUG is the big buzz in London’s funk world, having blasted onto the scene in November 2008 with a debut sell-out show at London’s Dean St venue Maya.

What started as a first gig to get the band off the ground in front of the faithful funk following, transformed into a full-blown launch once word had got round of what the band had put down in a couple of spontaneous late night sessions at Abbey Road. With the club packed full of press, music industry veterans, and a whole host of the funk loving public, the band’s reputation as a musical fireball of energy was created on the first beat, and things didn’t get close to letting up for the rest of the show. London’s funk revival was born.

Tracks have been put down on the back of amazing London gigs, and others have been done on tour in the far corners of the globe when the guys have been inspired to write raw, current, new material.

The P-BUG’s music takes the sounds of funk, soul, and motown to form the basis of their original tracks. The band are writing for today’s music lovers – it’s edgy yet catchy, artistic yet commercial, all recorded blending old school techniques with modern technology. Imagine the sound of Tower of Power, James Brown, The Meters, and Earth Wind & Fire in one band, and you can imagine the music that the P-BUG are writing for the next decade to enjoy.

The band also love to put their own slant on the big hits of the present and past, and so they’ve put down a couple of classics to entice party lovers to hear what the band can do with the songs everyone loves
